Interior Design

GoWest Home Design transforms interiors with tailored, strategic design. From foundational color curation to full-scale spatial improvements, we manage every detail. We specialize in the finishes and ambience that elevate a room from beautiful to unforgettable.

Lighting Design

We evaluate the rhythm of a space and curate a cohesive temperature palette — anchoring living rooms in intimate 2700K warmth while transitioning to a clean 3000K for kitchens and bathrooms. Layered illumination that creates rich dimension without overwhelming the eye.

Interior Decor

We believe a space is defined by its final layers. Comprehensive interior styling that thoughtfully integrates art, textures, and carefully selected pieces based on the space, light, and perspective — creating a harmonious visual flow that grounds the architecture.

The Science of Light

Light sets the
tone for everything.

Most designers pick furniture. We start with light. Because the way a space feels — intimate, expansive, warm, crisp — is determined by temperature, layering, and intention before a single piece of furniture enters the room.

Discuss Your Space
2700K
Living Rooms & Bedrooms

Intimate, candle-like warmth that creates a sense of shelter and ease. The temperature of relaxation.

3000K
Kitchens & Bathrooms

Clean and welcoming without the clinical edge of daylight temperatures. Functional clarity with retained warmth.

Ambient · Task · Accent

We blend soft ambient overheads with purposeful task sconces and subtle accent lighting to create rich, inviting dimension.

GoWest Home Design

Strategic by design.

GoWest Home Design prides itself on a clean, sophisticated aesthetic — attention to detail and the ability to create clever solutions in less than ideal situations. The goal of each project is to create the most impact for the audience. We don't over-design. We reveal what's already there.

See the Work

Design that sells.

As the design partner within the GoWest ecosystem, we bring our expertise directly to listing prep — identifying the targeted updates that will move a property and executing them with trade pricing passed through. Buyers working with us also get something unique: a concrete renovation plan and cost estimate before they make an offer.

What We Stand For

Design with intention.

I.
Sophisticated Aesthetic

Clean lines, considered proportions, and a restrained palette that lets the architecture and light do the heavy lifting.

II.
Attention to Detail

The difference between a beautiful space and an unforgettable one lives in the details most designers overlook.

III.
Maximum Impact

The goal of every project is to create the most impact for the audience — whether that’s a future buyer or the people who live there.

Steve West

Hi, I’m Steve West. I’m an interior designer based in Marin, proudly serving San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. My love for design actually started when I was just a kid, trailing my parents through antique auctions and catching their contagious passion for curating beautiful spaces. Today, my work is guided by a deep appreciation for classic interior design—think elegant symmetry, striking focal points, and just the right amount of personal drama. Even when I’m styling a home to capture a broad real estate market, I firmly believe that keeping things neutral never has to mean making them boring. With the right eye, any room can have soul and character.

While I understand the strategic art of making a house sellable, my absolute dream is helping people reimagine their entire home for the way they actually want to live. I love the process of a full-home transformation, taking a blank canvas or a dated floor plan and turning it into a deeply personal sanctuary. My goal is to partner with you to craft a timeless, beautifully balanced home that feels entirely yours—a place where real life can happen in style. Whether you’re right here in Marin or across the bridge in the city, I’d love to help you bring your vision to life.

Erica Crowley — Interior Decorator, GoWest Home Design
Erica Crowley

Hi, I’m Erica. As the interior decorator for our team, my approach to design is fueled by a love for art and a genuine passion for people. I’m originally a transplant from Springfield, Missouri, but life has taken me from New York to Los Angeles and all around the world before happily settling down in beautiful San Francisco. I truly believe that when we love our personal spaces, it does wonders for our mental health and everyday happiness. My golden rule for styling any room is actually pretty simple: make it clean first, then make it beautiful. Once you have that fresh canvas, the real fun begins.

Because I love to entertain, I always try to keep my own home guest-ready, and I’m a big believer that everyone has an inner host just waiting to be tapped into. Home is where real life happens, and I’m endlessly inspired by how a thoughtfully designed space naturally brings people together. I live by the idea that “a good home is never done”—which also happens to be the title of one of my favorite design books. A home should evolve right alongside you. Whether it’s swapping out decor for a new season, going all out for the holidays, or just creating a comfortable room where loved ones want to linger, my goal is to help you build a warm, inviting backdrop for your best memories.

Steve Lombardi — Marin GC
Steve Lombardi

Steve Lombardi runs a licensed general-contracting practice in Marin and is the partner we bring in when a design moves into structural territory — wall removals, kitchen pulls, the work that needs a GC of record. His background is in complex commercial construction, which means he reads drawings the way the build crew needs them read and keeps the schedule honest. He’s on the renovations where the design only works because the build is as exacting as the spec.

The move was the lighting, not the paint.
